Having served as an assistant under previous coaches Garthly Chipuka and Langton Giwa, Ennie Konje has been elevated to the head coach position.

Her first task is to prepare a competitive team for the upcoming inaugural COSAFA U17 Girls Cup set to take place in South Africa from 4 to 14 November. Together with her new assistants Irene Mwanza and Lindiwe Ndlovu, Konje has already picked her first provisional squad which is already in camp at the ZIFA Village.

Despite the obviously detrimental long period of inactivity during the lockdown, Konje’s work will be made slightly easier by the fact that the U17 team played competitive matches in January.
